Grok, a chatbot for Xai, the AI company of Elon Musk, has acquired canvas-like features for editing and creating documents and basic apps.
The feature, called Grok Studio, was announced late Tuesday at X. Available to both free and payable users at grok.com
“Grok can now generate documents, code, reports and browser games.” I wrote an official Grok account on x. “Grok Studio opens content in a new window, allowing both you and Grok to collaborate on the content.”
Today we’ve released the first version of Grok Studio, adding code execution and Google Drive support.

Grok is the latest chatbot for fiddle with software and getting a dedicated workspace to write projects. Openai launched a similar feature, Canvas, for ChatGPT in October. Humanity was one of the first punches, with Claude’s artifacts.
Grok Studio doesn’t seem to be virtually different to the canvas-like tools that came before. You can preview HTML snippets and run code in programming languages such as Python, C++, JavaScript. All content opens in a window to the right of Grok’s response.
Grok Studio is potentially more convenient with integration with Google Drive, another Grok upgrade announced today. You can now attach the file to the Grok prompt from your Google Drive account. According to Xai, Grok can use documents, spreadsheets and slides.
