Hollywood studios and screenwriters are close to resolving a contract renewal dispute that has paralyzed Hollywood for months, but no deal has been reached yet, according to people familiar with the negotiations.
The studios have agreed to provide a certain number of writers to the TV show, with that number increasing based on the number of episodes in a season, one of the people said. The two sides also created a system for writers to receive bonuses for popular shows on the streaming service.
