Introducing Openai Dublin

The strength of Ireland’s technology and start-up ecosystem across cities such as Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick shows impressive growth and progress. We are ready to work with governments to support national AI strategies, and work with industry, start-ups and researchers to understand priorities and ideas to advance the development and deployment of AI. We have taken the first steps to provide access to our technology and mentorship to youth accelerators in Ireland. patchis a nonprofit organization that supports outstanding 16- to 21-year-olds by letting them build and learn through unique entrepreneurial projects.

“IDA Ireland welcomes OpenAI’s decision to establish a European base in Dublin. Ireland is known as a center of governance, regulation and innovation activity for the world’s leading digital companies. The investment confirms this and confirms Ireland’s focus on building a thriving AI ecosystem,” said Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland.

In addition to Ireland’s vision for AI, we look at how the Irish community is working closely between the private sector, academia, government and start-ups to help us come in as a good partner in the region. We asked for feedback to make it better. This is an important milestone in our journey, allowing us to better understand, serve and collaborate with our European partners, users and customers.

“For Ireland to reap the benefits of AI, it is essential to ensure we have a strong and collaborative ecosystem in place, and companies like OpenAI operating in Ireland are supporting new AI research and innovation. We believe we can help build the infrastructure to support the future of the UK and ensure that our workforce is well-prepared,” said Simon Coveney, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
