“But what if this is more than just a fork in the road?” What if this is the opportunity we’ve been waiting for? The opportunity to create a new story for humanity is an endless opportunity. We’re not just repeating a story, we’re creating an entirely new genre,” said Tony Olzak, Trace3 CTO.

Trace3’s innovation team is tracking over 400 startups in the GenAI space today alone.

To stay ahead of the curve, the Irvine, California-based solutions provider is actively working on all things AI and its impact on technology and daily life over the next few years.

“McKinsey estimates that up to $4.4 trillion in annual value added could be generated worldwide within the next few years,” said Tony Olzak, Trace3 CTO, at a conference in Las Vegas in September. Speaking at Trace3’s Evolve conference. “About 80% of all jobs in the world could be powered by AI. We have seen an explosion in investment.”

He added that AI will also spawn a series of new startups, “so no digital business is safe.”

“These startups are coming in with new cost models, and they’re going to destroy margins,” he says. “How can I make sure I’m the one leading that charge?”

In his talk, he mentioned ChatGPT and how the AI-generated tool gained 1 million users in 5 days and 100 million users in 2 months, underscoring the claim that AI is growing rapidly. We have further strengthened it.

by harvard business reviewAI will not replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI, Olzak said.

“Imagine when you left your house to come to this conference, and imagine all the things you saw: the furniture, the house, the landscaping, the paved roads, the cars, the planes. ” he said. “You could argue that everything you see every day is either influenced by or created by human intelligence. What will happen in the future when everything we see, hear, and experience is influenced by or created by artificial intelligence? That is the future we are trying to influence, and that We’re trying to figure out how we can make responsible decisions in the process.”

Olzak spoke to a room of CIOs and cybersecurity experts about where AI stands today, the challenges people are facing, and where AI is headed in the future.

Check out his five boldest statements below.

“A world where the boundaries between magic and science become blurred”

Today, we face important decisions as we pioneer the next wave of artificial intelligence. Before our eyes is another breakthrough moment, a watershed that could overturn all previous milestones. But what if this isn’t just a fork in the road? What if this is the opportunity we’ve been waiting for? The opportunity to create a new story for humanity is an endless opportunity.

We’re not just repeating a story, we’re creating an entirely new genre. In reality, the lines between magic and science are blurred, and in a future that exceeds our wildest dreams. A future where the words “incurable disease” disappear from our vocabulary and the word “impossible” becomes nothing more than a challenge. Now, that’s not optimism. That’s the vision. But vision is worthless without action and choices. Each of us holds a brush dipped in the paint of possibility. Are you afraid of ruining your canvas or do you want to paint bold strokes and aim for a masterpiece?

Computing volume has increased 10x in the past 10 years

This felt like it came out of nowhere and the solution and hype just exploded and now everyone can talk about it. It’s all the CEOs can say, all the boards can say… How do we transform our companies? How do we leverage this technology? It seems like it comes out of nowhere. Why do you feel that way? What’s interesting is that every year for the past 10 years, we’ve applied 10 times more computation and 10 times more parameters to train these models.

The thing about an exponential curve is that you can’t really see it until the hockey stick moment begins. I mean, there’s nothing interesting enough in that whole flat part to be of interest to the general public. When his 10X period arrives, forget about what he will be like 10 years from now. What will his next two years bring?

“Generative AI is literally just finger painting.”

One thing to keep in mind right now is that when you think about this maturity curve, generative AI is literally drawing with your finger. Today it’s finger painting. Remember, we are operating on a 10x exponential curve. Where does this go from here? And what does this mean for creatives in general? We’ve used stone, we’ve used canvas, we’ve used digital tools. AI will become just a set of tools that artists use to imagine the future. What role will you play in that journey?

“Intelligence Revolution”

Some are calling this a new industrial revolution. Now, there are some important differences between this industrial revolution and other industrial revolutions, and perhaps a more appropriate name might be the intelligence revolution. McKinsey estimates that within the next few years, up to $4.4 trillion in added value could be created annually around the world. Approximately 80% of all jobs in the world could be enhanced by AI. We have seen an explosion in investment. Trace3’s innovation team currently tracks over 400 of his startups in the GenAI space alone.

GenAI’s cautious future

The thing about current generative AI is that it can sometimes make something up. GenAI is now like an omnipotent infant. You can create a movie script. Picasso can also draw. Perhaps it can cure cancer. But if we don’t keep an eye on it, it might just destroy the area. But we’re operating 10 times as long as she is. Computing power continues to improve as more parameters are fed into it. It gets smarter and more accurate every year, and if we’re careful we’ll be able to trust most of what comes with it. But where does this lead us? What would happen if AI could do everything humans can do better? That leads to ideas about AGI, artificial general intelligence, and what will happen to the world. We’re in a bit of a prisoner’s dilemma. We can all work together for mutual benefit, or we can all work against each other for individual benefit.
